Ghana names squad for Africa Sevens as Eagles eye World Rugby Challenger spot
The Ghana Rugby Football Union (GRFU) has unveiled its 12-man squad for the 2025 Africa Men’s Sevens tournament in Mauritius, as the Eagles target a place at the World Rugby Sevens Challenger.
The high-stakes competition, running from 21-23 June, will see Ghana battle it out in Pool A against Uganda, Kenya, and Côte d’Ivoire—a tough group featuring some of the continent’s strongest sides.
Led by head coach Collin Earle Osborne, with Jeffery Chiwanda as assistant and Serlom Kwame Gavor as captain, the Eagles will be aiming to soar past their rivals.
