West Ham reject £50m Tottenham bid for Kudus
West Ham United have turned down a £50 million offer from Tottenham Hotspur for star Mohammed Kudus—but the Ghanaian international could still be on the move this summer.
The 24-year-old, who netted five goals and provided four assists in 35 appearances last season, is attracting strong interest, with Spurs stepping up their pursuit after cooling their interest in Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze.
Kudus is reportedly open to a switch to North London, and his departure could prompt the Hammers to target Chelsea’s Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall or Carney Chukwuemeka as potential replacements.
Saudi Pro League looms with huge release clause
The Saudi Pro League is also circling, with Al-Nassr said to be keen on the former Ajax man.
However, any deal could be complicated by Kudus’ reported £120 million Saudi-specific release clause—a figure that may deter potential suitors.
If Tottenham succeed in luring Kudus across London, he would become the first player to move directly from West Ham to Spurs since Scott Parker in 2011.
Potter’s stance on Kudus’ future
Despite the growing speculation, West Ham boss Graham Potter has previously emphasised the need to unlock Kudus’ full potential.
Speaking in May, the manager suggested the player’s inconsistent form was partly due to the team’s struggles but stressed that both player and coaching staff must work to maximise his talent.
With the transfer window heating up, all eyes are on whether Kudus will remain in East London—or if a big-money move to Tottenham, or even Saudi Arabia, could be on the cards.
