Inaugural National Aerobics Championship set for April 26
Ghana is set to host its first-ever National Aerobics Championship, the Ghana Bodybuilding and Fitness Association (GBFA) has announced.
The much-anticipated event will take place on Saturday, April 26, at the Ga Mashie Hall within the Trust Sports Emporium in Accra.
This maiden championship aims to become the nation’s premier aerobics competition and will run alongside the prestigious International Fitness and Bodybuilding Federation (IFBB) West Africa Championship, scheduled from April 21 to 28 in the Ghanaian capital.

The GBFA has stated that this annual initiative is a key part of their mission to champion health and fitness across Ghana.
Organisers anticipate a strong turnout, with many of the country’s top aerobics groups and individual performers expected to participate.
The event promises a dynamic blend of athletic prowess and entertainment, culminating in a final showcase that will highlight the numerous health and fitness benefits of aerobics for all attendees.
This year’s championship will feature three exciting challenges: step board aerobics, spinning bike aerobics, and freestyle aerobics.
Judges will be looking for a combination of factors when assessing the competitors, including their overall appearance and dressing, the precision of their coordination and uniformity, and the level of entertainment they bring to their routines.
The stakes are high, with winners set to be rewarded with cash prizes, coveted trophies, medals, and official certificates.
This inaugural Ghana Aerobics Championship promises to be a thrilling spectacle and a significant step forward in promoting a healthy and active lifestyle throughout the nation.
