On Monday, 16 June, GBFA executives visited Pinto’s grieving family at their Sakumono home to offer condolences following his tragic passing on Friday, 13 June.

The bodybuilder collapsed while taking part in the Ultimate Titans Reality Show at Shai-Hills—an event not affiliated with the GBFA.

A rising star cut short

Pinto was a decorated competitor and a proud ambassador for Ghanaian bodybuilding.

Just weeks before his death, he triumphed at the IFBB Sunfest Fitness Challenge in South Africa, clinching one gold and three silver medals.

An IFBB Certified Personal and Advanced Trainer, Pinto was revered for his discipline, dedication, and relentless drive to elevate fitness standards in Ghana.

His sudden death has sent shockwaves through the sporting community.

During the emotional visit, GBFA officials expressed their deep sorrow and solidarity with the bereaved.

They praised Pinto’s remarkable career and the inspiration he provided to aspiring athletes, pledging the association’s full support to his family.

A legacy that lives on

The GBFA described Pinto as a “true patriot and champion” whose impact on Ghanaian bodybuilding will never be forgotten.

Tributes have poured in from fellow athletes, trainers, and fans, honouring a man who dedicated his life to fitness excellence.

As investigations into the circumstances of his death continue, the bodybuilding community is left mourning a fallen hero—one whose strength, both on and off the stage, will be sorely missed.
